A Tiverton Garden

In the back garden, a raised terrace had been previously laid to astroturf was underpinned by 6-8” of hardcore; much of this was removed to import topsoil. Some hardcore we were able to reuse as a sub base for paths and hard landscaping.

The client specification was for a wildlife, pollinator-friendly garden with a Mediterranean theme, with seating and room for tables and chairs. Large olive trees help to provide screening at the edge of the garden, with plants such as hyssop, salvias, Rosemary and grasses to create a Mediterranean theme planting style and help to attract the pollinators. The bees had already arrived before we’d finished planting.
